This years Sidewalk Arts Festival at SCAD was a fantastic time with a bittersweet end. Contestants had made it to about a half hour before judges came around (which would have been 2) when we were hit by a downpour. Had it not been for my stepmom and dad, who sprang up from Maryland much to my great surprise, I would have lost all of this. This is my chalk rendition of friend and room mate Hannah which I could not complete. My poor friend Max had the square next to me, whose work was completely demolished. Fortunately the judges had come around early and from that they bestowed upon me second place!
I so did not see this when I went down to Forsyth Park, during the rain aftermath. One of the lost ones, compared to the fact that some people still had theirs intact.
It is pretty and you got luck that the judge saw it and won second place. Good Job.
I should have thought about bringing a tarp or something. ><
Yours would have still beat mine anyway, rain or no rain.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
I'm a lover of visual impacts. I like brilliant colors and shapes. And I decided to collect a whole stack of deviations that reflect that taste. These pieces showcased below deserve every bit of publicity you can give them. x)P
